The goal of this collaboration is to strengthen the research and training capabilities at KFUPM in chemical EOR techniques for high temperature, high salinity (HTHS) carbonate reservoirs. The vision is to build a center of excellence on carbonate reservoirs at KFUPM. The collaboration will develop and test chemicals suitable for carbonate reservoirs, formulate and design recovery processes and simulate chemical EOR for both fractured and non-fractured carbonate reservoirs.
