Traci Laird, Executive Assistant, CSEE, is receiving a Cockrell School of Engineering Staff Excellence Award for 2020-2021

As Executive Assistant of the Center for Subsurface Energy and the Environment (CSEE) since January 2020, Traci has taken the lead to rebrand the Center, implement our vision, build a culture of collaboration and inclusiveness, help develop a new website, establish our monthly webinar series, strengthen the relationship with PGE, and so much more. Last March she was a leader in anticipitating and implementing our work transition plan for COVID.

Deborah Hempel-Medina has been selected to receive a Transformational Online Instruction Contributions (TONIC) Award

These awards are intended to recognize professional (non-tenure-track) instructional faculty and staff who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and rapid innovation in our hybrid and online instruction. Deborah’s efforts have made an extraordinary and positive impact on students and the university during a challenging year. This program is sponsored and funded in partnership with the Provost’s Office. Deborah will be invited to participate in a panel presentation for the Faculty Innovation Center’s Technology-Enhanced Learning Symposium in May 2021.
